How to support Bacup Museum

Every object we care for, as well as exhibitions, school visits, and community events, incurs a cost. We could not achieve any of this without our members, donors, and funders.

Thank You!

For example:

Your donation: £100

Gift Aid from Government: £25

Total Value of your gift: £125

Legacies & Bequests

If you have enjoyed your visits to the Bacup Museum why not consider leaving us a gift in your will. A gift in your will no matter how small will allow us to continue our work for future generations and have a lasting impact on the development of the museum, helping us to meet the needs of the local community and new audiences. There are several ways you can leave money to the museum in your will:

  • A fixed sum of money decided by you.

  • The amount of the whole or portion of your estate after other legacies, inheritance tax and expenses have been paid.

  • A bequest of specific personal possessions.

  • In-memory donations in lieu of flowers or via collections in support of the Bacup Natural History Society are also another option

If you are interested in discussing options please contact the museum or speak with your solicitor, when you may be asked for the following information.

Helping Hand

  • Volunteers are the heart of our museum. We are always on the lookout for volunteers. As a volunteer with us you will learn about our collections and Bacup’s fascinating history. Please call in and see us or email or more information.

  • If you don’t have the ability to support us financially at this time or the time to volunteer, why not consider assisting us in another way. If you think you have another service which could benefit the museum we would love to hear from you.
